Dark-Eyed Junco

These fun little birds (Junco hyemalis) come through here in the spring and fall during their migration. We have been feeding many of them over the past couple of months. Now they seem to be thinning out as the days warm up. I stopped and bought some roasted worms today to feed the robins. I worry about them because the ground is still frozen. Roasted worms, doesn't that sound appetizing? I put some out on a dish and they were gone in an hour. Unfortunately I was giving piano lessons at the time so didn't see who took them! Hopefully tomorrow I will have some time to keep watch with camera in hand.
