Twisted Individual

The high winds over the last few years have decimated large areas of woodland in Beecraigs Country Park. Many of the affected trees are pine and spruce trees such as Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce and Scot's Pine. I found it interesting that amongst the devastation there is an avenue of trees which are far older than the managed forestry. These trees have been marked for felling for some time now, but seem to be the least affected by the storms. The gnarled and twisted avenue consists mainly of Beech and Ash.
