Happy birthday to me!
Didn't get off to the best start, a call to the police necessitated when I witnessed an assault in the street by our house :( horrid. Really shook me up.
Anyway I realised there was little more I could of should have done and so set about making the most of my birthday. Dylan was a bit upset he'd not had chance to get me a surprise from the shop and so rounded up some treats for me in a bag. There was an ice lolly recipe book, a mini cake, a pot of pretend maggots in goo (more on this later), a skeleton dinosaur and a drumstick. Aren't I lucky? They made me a lovely card with Karen later and d wrote both their names in it along with a page full of kisses. I went shopping and treated myself to new jeans and a handbag then bought diddy some jake pjs and lily a new dress (as I can't go to a shop without looking at kids clothes, even when I'm trying to think about me for once!). Had a lovely soak in the bath before picking the kids up.
In the picture we were baking a cake. D had the cake mix and lily had the pretend maggots in goo. Thank goodness we didn't mix them up! Phil came home with some beautiful flowers, mum came to look after the children and brought me lots of gifts; a new house phone (think ours went in the bin a year ago courtesy of a toddler), some charms for my bracelet, new underwear, a book and a rainbow maker! Thrilled! Just need sun now and we will have endless colour in the bedroom :)
The elbow gig was awesome. Can't wait to see them at Glastonbury. Thanks for all the birthday wishes, cards and messages. I'm a lucky girl x
