Lady Sings the Blues

I've been working on this painting of Billie Holiday for a while now, and just finished it up last night. Her birthday was a couple days ago (Apr 7). Wish I'd had it done so I could have posted it then, but it wasn't quite right. Better late than never.

It took me 12 photos to get one that I didn't have terrible glare across one section or other. I'm sure I'll get better at this photography thing... everyone says natural light is best, but surely i'm not the only one with glare issues....
