Who Says Clouds Aren't Beautiful?

As much as I like clear blue skies, I think I love big fluffy clouds or even dark heavy clouds even more. I love the moods they create, especially when they take on a dark and stormy hue. If the sun is shining and there are clouds around, I always know we'll get a beautiful sunset.

I was in London most of today for a meeting. Although I am somewhat sad that I haven't lived in the city (well, I did once for a short time, but it wasn't a very good experience), I must say, I am very very happy to live where I do. I love having the countryside on my doorstep, accessible either by foot or a by a very short car journey. I love walking around the fields and through the woods, especially after being in the city or after a long flight. There's nothing so wonderful as seeing all that green, feeling the fresh air and hearing the birdsong. Seeing a deer or a stunning sunset makes it even more special. I particularly love the accessibility of the land for walkers - something which is unique to England and for which this American is very thankful! We have nothing comparable in the US - not to the extent we have it in the UK. We are very fortunate and I never take it for granted.
