here's the wonderful dr. julie with her gold research impact award last week! what an ace achievement for a top clever lady.

julie and jake were up from glasgow at the weekend and popped round for a drink, or ten. we had an ace laugh as always, and 94 year old dr. wilson popped round later too which was great. even though he lives just next door, we don't see him very much - he's such a lovely man and he and bee get on like a house on fire, roaring laughing at rude stuff and drinking whisky. I asked him what his secret to living well into his 90s is....and he told me. well, it's his secret so I shouldn't tell should I?

let's just say that I'll need to try and develop a taste for whisky soon.
