Squabble

A squabble of starlings
Descends several times daily
Attacking food with gusto
And scattering it around
For the canny blackbirds
Waiting patiently below
To enjoy in tranquility.

The noisy and entertaining starlings were a welcome distraction when we got home from Tom's operation on his nose. He was a bit groggy from the general anaesthetic and in some discomfort but relieved to have got it over with. Hopefully he'll be able to breathe more easily now, over two years on from a fall which damaged his septum.

Oh, and this was my first play with my telephoto lens!
