Lion at Redworth Hall

The North of England Ophthalmological Society is a group of northern eye surgeons, of which (in spite of having recently retired) I have the honour of being President for this year which is the Centenary year of the Society. We have over 500 members (including trainees); about 130 attended a meeting today.

The meeting was held at Redworth Hall Hotel (a Jacobean manor house 8 miles from Darlington and 20 miles from Durham). I only had my little camera with me, and only a couple of minutes to take my blip but I rather liked this lion guarding the entrance.
