Blyth day 11 - My Mum's pen friend

I'm collecting all sorts if postage memorabilia for Blyth. I found this personal piece and a frame to put it in. When my Mum was a girl she had a pen friend in Denmark. This must be the envelope from one of the first letters he sent her. It is franked 'Kobenhavn 20 DEC 1945', so close to the end of the Second World War. My Mum would have been ten. He was called Orla Hels. I found a pile of envelopes going up to September 1950 but no letters which is sad.

I've finished the floor in the caravan and put up the video me curtain I blipped last Friday. Still lots to do including recovering all the cushions.
