Eider

I only went out of the house briefly to get a few messages in Ocean Terminal, which was full of shrieking sub-teens. There was a funfair on the vacant plot opposite, which engendered even more shrieking. Must be the school hols, I suppose. Fortunately they weren't interested in the places I went to, ie Simply Wine & Waterstones. And it was quite peaceful at the old jetty round the back of OT - no sign of the terns yet, but huge numbers of eider ducks bobbing around on the water of the harbour. Most of them were male, like this handsome chap. Although there was a big red ship in the dock, he wasn't in the right position to give himself a startling red
background - but he was close enough for me to see his eye, keeking!
