Watford Locks
I stopped briefly on the way to work to find out how I could get to the canal that runs by the A5 just south of the M45/M1 junction. A path from the A5 gets you over to Watford Locks, a staircase of 7 locks. Its a peach of a location. Despite being squeezed between two motorways, the A5 and the West Coast Main Line, its a beautiful little location. Pass it many times and thought…..
I now think I should have stopped sooner.
This is the view looking south from the bottom lock of the main 6 lock rise towards the very first lock. I presume the house used be something to do with the lock-keepers but it now looks like it is privately owned.
Off for dinner - will be back later to comment on your journals :-)
