Life from city to village

Lonely

Chantler's April 2014 Shakespeare Challenge - Lonely

I'd never known Shakespeare had invented the word 'lonely'. It seems such an intrinsic part of our vocabulary, that it seems odd to know its only a few hundred years old. Although perhaps its a sign of the way society moved, increasing urban dwelling seems to have increased loneliness, not decreased it.

Today we visited some RSPB reserves. I took this photo on the walkway over the marsh. At the end, by the pond, one guy was just sat, staring out at the pond. Although to be fair, I had quite a choice. RSPB reserves seem to attract blokes on their own (usually with cameras!).
