Hydrologist: I love the waders!

It is all go here at home. This week, we have two teams of surveyors here. So far they have been here for five days and they should be finished by Friday.

One team is surveying our water mill and the other team are hydrologists who are measuring the flow of water through our watercourses.

The information is needed to build a picture of the way the water behaves through the system under different flow conditions for a second hydropower scheme we hope to install. That is, providing the survey doesn't throw up anything unforeseen. Flow meters remain the river and mill races for 3 months, at the end of which the report will be submitted to the Environment Agency.
