Taking it out for a spin

I had my first driving lesson today. My licence turned up yesterday so it was lucky that it did.

Was certainly interesting as it all started to come back to me as we drove out of town into the vast country sides.

One of the few things that differ between driving in the UK and driving over here is how instead of miles they use kilometres. The speed limit in a built up area is 50km/h. There's lots of stop or give way signs and not too many traffic lights.

It seems that I'm living in one of the most roundabout-ed cities in Australia per square capita. Especially in town since there seems to be one at every intersection.

I've got another lesson next week, hopefully more will come back to me then.
