Florence #1 - First Impressions

Today was spent travelling, with Alison, (colleague, friend and holiday companion) from Istanbul to Florence. Funny how a 2.5 hour flight takes all day.... Taking the comfy shuttle bus from Bologna airport we were met in Florence by Marc - friend and ex-colleague who now lives there. After leaving our cases at the place where we are staying, which is luckily for us, virtually in the centre of Florence, the three of us went walk about in the early evening sun. Quick half in a place called "pub" (!!) and Pizza for dinner. Our "holiday home" seems to be surrounded by Art and restaurants - I have a really good feeling about this coming week :)
