Milk for Schools
Part of my business is being involved with Fonterra Milk for Schools.
It's an initiative created by Fonterra in New Zealand where every child at primary school is served a carton of milk every day at school.
At a cost of $30 million per annum it's a big investment from the company and is subsidised by our government.
This is one of my 28 schools I deliver to and the kids love to give me a hand putting the milk into their allocated fridges.
The bags in the front are the empty cartons which are folded by the children in a correct manner and are collected by us and sent back to Auckland then shipped to Thailand to be recycled into roof tiles as NZ doesn't have a ' Tetra Pak ' recycle facility.
These kids are awesome to deal with and love spinning yarns with the milky when he delivers. I particularly enjoy school milk days as it's all about giving back to a great community and interacting with youthful minds.
