Hummingbird

I'm so stoked that the hummingbirds have discovered my feeder!!! I just filled it up with sugar nectar three days ago and I already have two birdies coming up for refreshment. They're super shy and I'm still pretty sick so I could only lay in my hammock on the deck with my 200mm and take a few shots. I'm sure I'll get some better ones as time goes by. They are such beautiful magic creatures.

When I was a kid my Dad would tell me that hummingbirds hitch a ride with geese to migrate south. They snuggle into the goose down and ride to Mexico. I love that mental image...
