Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Steel tree

The rain returned this afternoon. This tree won’t care. It’s in the yard of friend J where our lovely book club met this afternoon to discuss Helen Simonson’s book, Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand, quite a witty and charming tale of the proper English Major and a Pakistani shopkeeper’s improbable romance. Fun, as always. ( Well, the book is not always fun like this one but the group is. )
J’s husband saw a similar tree in a courtyard in an art museum in Barcelona , drew his own sketch and had a delighted metal fabricator in Seattle make it! I quite like it!
