Mushrooms

The mushrooms here are recording two things. Katie's improving knife skills (Mummy right with her aside from this photo, for which she was instructed to stop moving the knife and wait patiently!) but also the mushrooms. Katie had made her mind up one day that she wouldn't eat mushrooms. For the first time on Sunday she knowingly ate them and asked for more!

Katie went to church with The Cousins today while I did some catching up after her poorly week. She had a lot of fun, and came back explaining all the story they'd looked at in Girls' Room. She helped me to cook lunch on the promise of a flump she'd brought back from Sunday School.

We had a lovely visit from some friends this afternoon. Katie, E & D played all together upstairs for a while. I went up and discovered Katie had decided she needed her pyjamas & dressing gown on. They all came downstairs where baby O had been playing. They had the stable, the train track, the road, the kitchen, all of it spread across the lounge floor! Lots of fun.

When her friends had gone home, we made an early tea together. She did lots of the chopping of the salad (And the eating of the salad, including the mushrooms!). After tea, I decided we would have a little Sunday treat and we rented Frozen on iTunes. We snuggled up in bed together watching it for the first time on the iPad.
