On the Verge

Halfway up the hill
yellow dead-nettles amid
young spring-green stingers.

I was going to call this 'grass verge' but it's more like ivy, goosegrass, daffodil-leaf and nettle verge.

Just home from table-tennis. People tell me I am improving. Can't say I've noticed huge progress myself. Perhaps I'm doing better than I feel I am. Or perhaps they're being kind. Tis fun, that's the main thing!
