Marble Park and Fountain, Washington, DC
After a full day one of STGlobal at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) site it was time to hoof it and find Linda so we could go somewhere for dinner. I walked by this open-air park with lots of marble blocks to sit on and this really nifty and soothing fountain. The rock is cut into tiny terraces and provides rolling hills for the water to wash and ripple over. Very calming.
Apparently, it is very new and sits on the corner of the site of the old convention centre.
Have a look back at yesterday's blip. It's the start of the Washington, DC trip.
Really nice when viewed LARGE.
