Eyesore
The sky was an eyesore this afternoon. The impending storm spoiled my plans to walk with a friend to her lake. Locals might say that the overhead power lines are also an eyesore as over here they are mostly underground. However, I quite like the way the eye is drawn in to a focus here - not an eyesore at all!
Why, sir, you know this is your wedding-day: First were we sad, fearing you would not come; Now sadder, that you come so unprovided. Fie, doff this habit, shame to your estate, An eye-sore to our solemn festival!
