Sky Space

SWMBO and I went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park today.

We have been before but it is worth repeat visits as the sculptures change on a regular basis.
Although it was sunny, it was flaming freezing so we were only there a couple of hours and saw only a fraction.

The blip is a place for contemplation apparently and I must admit, it is quite relaxing just sitting watching the picture sky change through the hole in the roof.
The abstract shot of the seed like thing (which I tried to put in some sort of context with the trees) came close to being the blip.

I am not sure if the sheep are meant to be an installation with constantly changing numbers ..... but I doubt it.

I am not sure how long this guy has been standing here - but he seems to be frozen solid.

We were in danger of going the same way so we went inside to see the work of Ursula von Rydingsvard.
She works (large scale) in cedar planks and her stuff is very impressive.
Some of her work gets cast in bronze and is huge - like the piece standing at the entrance to the park.
