Spider's Web

On my evening tour of the garden came across this tiny web, twinkling in the sunshine, pretty, innit? Shame about the out of focus orange blob of a spider. Still, can't have everything.

A lovely chilled day: checked the children's camping gear for their upcoming trip, and went to town to stock up on wellies and crocs and the like. Lunch in town, in our favourite caff. Ben took his pile of 5 and 10 pence pieces to Game and finally bought himself Xbox Gold Live membership. I have no idea what he consequences of this will be, but he seems very happy. He then had a friend round and they played football outside in the garden for 2 hours, followed by inside on the Xbox for another hour or so. Amelia has made flapjacks and we tidied her room. She threw out loads of old tat she has been holding on to for years: she is growing up, that one.

Oh, and who knew you could get old bits of blue-tac off the walls with blue-tac?? I love the internet.

A lovely day, and there's still chicken pie (with homemade shortcrust pastry) for supper and the sewing bee to look forward to.
