East to Carnoustie and beyond
It was a bright, sunny morning although quite windy. I set out alone (my wife and grandchildren were in Auld Reekie) for Carnoustie and beyond to Easthaven and Westhaven. Many of my Blipfriends come from this area and walk their dogs on the beaches so I wanted to explore, it being an area I haven't been to very much. So many photo opportunities and, of course, the dilemma of which to choose for this Blip.
I was on a little back road and came upon an old abandoned cottage and a stream that was in a very quiet hollow and I guess wouldn't be much visited. So the stream, which is the Craigmill Burn, and its flowers, won.
All the rest of the photos can be seen on Flikr
In particular, in tribute to Beachcomber149, there is a photo of his three trees which I eventually tracked down here.
As a tribute to Shuttersister, who loves old ruined buildings, this is the abandoned cottage.
Finally, in tribute to TussocksTales, my dear Wheaten doggie friend from New Zealand, I saw this dog which kinda looks like a Wheaten.
