Refuelling!

S&G run a carriage driving business locally and one of the things they do is take visitors round Kirkwall in the summer months. As part of the ponies training and fitness regime they are often out on the roads around here but today they were picking up our neighbours' grandchildren to take them for a bit of a jaunt.

Unfortunately their pit stop coincided with the arrival of the council rubbish lorry, doing its recycling run, swinging the wheelie bins up into the air to empty them! Topper and Billy were very well behaved, as were the council chaps, who passed by slowly and as quietly as possible on the single track road.

The poodles were bred by our neighbour so it is always a bit of a reunion when they come down and meet up again! They happily trot along behind the carriage or sit up top when they need a rest or a change of scene! G, who is in the driving seat, is quite a character and is the number one choice when a pantomime dame is required in any village production!
