Is anybirdie home?

I've been seeing this empty nest every morning on my walk. I assume it's left over from a previous time.

Rainy day today, took a dog walk anyway. The good news is that we had no visit from the bear last night. Riley and I slept pretty well until he started barking at 4:30am. I got up and looked out all the windows and didn't see anything. By the time I was done checking, Riley was lying down again, so I guess it was a false alarm. Back to sleep until the alarm went off then. I was very much relieved. We're home alone again tonight, but I'm feeling a little calmer after nothing happened last night. Thankfully Mr M will be home tomorrow night.
