Juvenile herring gull
Herring gulls are a common sight in Aberdeen. This juvenile was trying to get worms from the grass, but only succeeding in ripping up tufts. It was doing a little dance when I first saw it; we often see this behaviour, and some folk say it makes worms come to the surface because they think it's raining. Apologies for the quality of the phone picture.
