Frost

The Winter Freeze of '09

This is what the news has titled our first big cold spell of the season. Tonight, we are gearing up for freezing rain, possible snow, and below freezing temperatures.

Today's blip was taken early this morning. We jumped in the car, bundled in layer upon layer upon layer of winter clothing, and this beautiful and extremely unique pattern of frost was on our windshield. My thoughts were pretty immediate.....get the camera! I was able to snap off several shots before the pattern slowly began to fade away.

It is really really cold here. Praying that people will respect this weather and stay off of the roads if they can. Winter storms can be wonderful yet completely unpredictable. My thoughts go out to the less fortunate people tonight who are braving this storm alone and out in the cold. Wishing that there was something that I could do........thankful that I am blessed with warmth!
