Illusion

Although it looks a little like old bamboo this is actually the result of the late afternoon sun coming through the blinds and falling on my rosewood cabinet.

To fall here the sun has to be in exactly the right spot to show between the two houses opposite. Now, two minutes later, the sun has moved and the effect has gone.
