Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches beach

We enjoyed our trip to the D-Day museum but we managed to time our visit to coincide with a heavy thunder storm so I wasn't able to take any photos without my lens getting covered in rain drops!

We had a lovely chat with an 89 year old veteran of the landings who was visiting from Cheltenham. He was only 19 on D-Day. Our children don't realise how lucky they are to have met him.

We went off to Bayeux to have lunch and see the tapestry and then drove back to Arromanches to photograph the harbours in the only 30 minutes of sunshine we were given today.
