South Coast Scribblings

First bluebell and some shopping

I noticed this bluebell beginning to open in our garden - ours seem slower than others in the village! I nipped out between rain showers to take this photo.

This afternoon we took the car over to Littlehampton to get the reverse light bulb replaced. Fortunately, it wasn't raining much at the time, so the mechanic was able to fit the bulb outside and we were only there for half-an-hour. We then went on to Dunelm Mill and had a cup of tea and a cake, before going to Halford's and Sainsbury's (which are in the same area). Sainsbury's had entirely re-built their shop and it opened late last year, but we had actually never been there until today. It was quite impressive with it's covered car park under the shop and I've never seen such wide aisles in a supermarket before. Probably because I'm overtired, I have written a poem - just indulge me!

ODE TO SAINSBURY'S

Rows of lights - both red and green -
So vacant parking can be seen.
Belisha beacons hung above
Where zebra crossings weave between.

Collect your trolley from ground floor,
Go up the ramp into the store
Which moves along, flat escalator
Just beware or you'll be floored!

Huge wide aisles, impressive layout -
Not too hard to find your way out!
Found what we needed quickly too.
This ode is ended - I am worn out!
