Oaktree view from our terrace

It is late in the afternoon as I start writing this. The whole family had a long sunny day filled with wood gardening & terrace maintenance. On this marvellous springtime day we all enjoy the things we are doing here now. Instead of displaying other activities in or around our small upstairs apartment near the Dutch coast.

We are happy to have seized this new opportunity to prolong our outdoor way of living around this wonderful and spacious hillside home under the Oaktree. It is so much more healthier to live here on the foresthill.

During the sometimes heavy bearing, bending and stooping work on the terrace tiles I took care breathing first and taking my time. Not driving up the wrong pressures. It is somewhat more than a week ago that I happened to go “knock-out and down” by a stupid nose bleeding. The bleeding went on far into the night for more than twelve hours. Due to the daily dosis of blood thinner, which was proscribed after I underwent heart surgery some four years ago. Hi folks, my first nose bleeding, as far as I can remember. Didn’t know how to handle that...felt as anxious and desperate as a powerless child.

Anyhow, I could do nothing but wait until the level of aspirin was low enough for coagulation. During the weekend the nearest hospital for specialist intervention would be in Kassel (1 hour driving). Happily enough all ended well: no other causes.

And I had this sudden confrontation choc on endless bleeding. Nothing new for us women, Willemien said...Well cheers then, how delicious and liberating it is to go again for a full blow sneeze...Ah! Better to be in bloom than in blood. Feeling like that apple tree blossom, you see from our terrace under the Oaktree. With the evening wind in my nostrils I joined the Chi Kung exercise Mischa teached us on our roof terrace.
