Earl of Kent

Kent is notable for speaking honestly, which is a pretty rare in King Lear. Kent's not afraid to be blunt when he tells Lear he's a fool for believing that Goneril and Regan care about him or, when he tells Cornwall that he doesn't like the looks of his face. In Shakespeare's play, it turns out that having a big mouth is a good thing – we might even say it's a noble quality
