This turtle's plea for help went unheard as we passed by in the market. He tried with all his might to pull himself out of this bucket. But no matter how hard his front legs pulled, his back half kept him weighed down and stuck in the muddy water. The woman behind the counter said he was being sold for 1,000 Baht, about $30 US. My Thai friend suspects whoever buys him will turn him into dinner.
