another rainy day

Just a view from the roadside today not far from home.  Shopped this morning in Kendal (in the rain), drove home (in the rain), had lunch and went for a walk. Yes, still raining. For 3 hours there's been a bit of bright sky in the distance but that grey cloud seems to be stuck right over us.  

Other news from the day. The car has been to garage to have tyres swopped around, back ones to front, spare to back etc.  Got a £6 meal deal in M&S. No wine with it but picked up a bottle in Tesco after my walk. Remembered to buy birthday cards (2 this week) but stuck for present ideas. Ran out of car parking time so didn't get to camera shop to ask about telephoto lenses.
