Pearls and the Oyster
The macro has landed. Having seen the wonders of macro photography from other Blippers including Aliscotia, I have taken the plunge. This is my first effort with the new lens. I am not particularly happy with it and this what I have learnt already:
1. Pick your subject carefully;
2. Think about the composition;
3. Not everything in nature looks wonderful close up (this looks like toothless gums).
4. Practice;
5. It aint as easy as you think.
I shall swat up with my new book on the subject that I was given last week. Hopefully some better results will follow.
