GoApe for Marie Curie Cancer Care
Today I did a charity photoshoot to help raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. I have lost two friends this year to cancer, so it was an opportunity to give something.
My role was easy - I just had to take photographs (though I did shoot over 800) - but 65 people risked life and limb by participating in the GoApe adventure trail in Glentress Forest near Peebles. This involves doing mad things high up in the trees, though always safely strapped on to a safety wire. From the amount of screaming (and some distinctly unladylike language) that was echoing through the forest, it was not for the faint-hearted. But a good day was had by all.
Apparently I am doing the course with my daughters next month - gulp.
There are very many more photographs from the day on my web site here.
Nikon D800 + 50mm and 70-300 lenses + flash for some
