Written by an extremely good local historian. In June it will be 150 years since the railway was extended from Newhaven to Seaford, opening up the town to summer visitors, new schools (some for delicate children! Don't know how they survived.) and troops in WWs.

On 7 June there will be celebrations including the running of a special steam train.
