Eiffel Tower, an urban icon

This blip has got to be an exception to my all monochrome blip theme. I cant take away the beauty of the light of the tower by converting it to B&W. I am almost a ghost in this photo as i used a long exposure to capture the lights of the tower and did a rear curtain sync with the flash to illuminate me at the end :)

I also got to visit Chateau Versailles today. Tere and I went straight to the chateau after she dropped off her things at the hostel (we got upgraded to a two bedroom room from a 4-bedroom dormitory room without extra cost!). The Chateau was soooooo huge and it was impossible to go around all the areas in half a day. I have really wanted to visit this place after i saw this from a Woody Allen movie. I have vowed not to miss this magnificent place.

Today was quite chilly but it didnt stop us from visiting the Eiffel tower after coming back from Versailles. We took a lot, as in a lot!, of photos from the ground until it was my time to come up to the summit of the tower. Tere wasnt able to come with me as she wasnt able to book online and she doesnt want to be bothered with queueing. It was so windy and chilly up the summit but it was all worth it. During my 1hr stay at the top, the lights of the Eiffel flickered and i thought it would be so nice to be on it while it's happening. I thought wrong because the lights were blinding and i got dizzy afterwards. The lights look gorgeous when you are viewing it from the foot of the tower though, which i was able to do before i went up.
