Rescued Trip

Well today was a marked improvement on yesterday, THANKFULLY!!!!

Audrey slept well, we watched Captain Phillips on a TV screen practically next to her cot last night (which was behind the bathroom door - large en-suites are our go-to for hotels these days) and all was well in the end!

Lovely lazy morning, we camped out in the hotel breakfast room (stunning place!) and stuffed ourselves. Audrey was in her element and we took it in turns to wander off in the hotel with her whilst the other person read the papers. My kind of deal!

She is teething again. All the signs. Which probably explains some of yesterday. So we put her down to sleep early and I had some time off on my own in Spitalfields (Angus watched House of Cards on his laptop). I bought some new sunglasses, a candle and got my nails done. All in an hour!

Once Audrey was awake, we got a taxi (punctured pram tyre it turns out so we wouldn't have got far) to Euston, grabbed lunch and an earlier train home. Best decision considering the weather and Audrey's temperament. Much better journey home today too.

Home to Angus's Liverpool match (this is starting to become a Sunday habit), spaghetti for Audrey and a glass of wine for me. An exhausting trip to London but we just about rescued it! Anglesey at the end of the month so that should be a lot calmer!!! Finger's crossed!!

The picture was actually taken yesterday by Angus but I loved the capture so wanted to use it.
