Dessert!!

Just what a Spring break is all about!

An at home morning followed by meet up with GK for lunch at Megettigans (very Irish!) then an hours tutoring before heading back home for a very quiet relaxed evening watching the boat race on BBC World!!!

This is our dessert!! Apple Crumble Irish style!

According to Julia Childs...anything made with apples needs to sit for 24 hours so the flavours you add to them can 'marry!' and then when they're cooked.....you need to chill them for 24 hours!!!

I don't somehow think I'd survive long in her kitchen!!

I was looking through my copies of her books to see if she had an authentic recipe for bagels but after all my perusal through myriads of bread recipes, she definitely prefers 'brioche'!

All was not lost though. I did quite fancy her 'Pate Sucre' and her 'Strawberry Tart with Liqueured Creme Anglaise!' Its definitely a contender for dessert! Watch this space!
