I took a day up to near York on the hope of seeing an osprey over some fishing lakes that had been seen earlier in the week on its way north but it had gone on its journey. However my day was rewarded with seeing lots of hares and this lovely kestrel hunting.

Its been a dull day so didn't feel I had wasted time in the car.
