Eczema and some new cream x

We woke up quite early this morning and Eva seemed to be quite agitated about the eczema on her back :-( we have been rubbing the cream in off the doctors around 3-4 times a day and bathing her in the Oilatum. Some days it looks a lot better, then others, it seems to have flared right back up again. I hadn't wanted to put steroid cream on her, but it was obviously really bothering her now, so come 8.30 when the doctors opened, I rang to try and get her in. At our doctors you have to ring at 8.30 to get an appointment for that morning, so I was so annoyed to be told at 8.40, when I eventually got through, that all the appointments had gone, as 2 of the 3 doctors were on a training course this morning. I explained the situation and the receptionist very kindly told us we could come down at 11.30 at the end of surgery and wait. This wasn't ideal as I knew Eva would be shattered by then, but wasn't left with much choice.

We set off to Rhythm Time and picked up Jenny and Eva along the way, as Jen's car was having it's MOT. As usual, Eva loved it! She joins in with so many of the activities, or does her variation on them. She even still does her little lip syncing along to some of the songs that we sing, where her little mouth just opens and closes as we sing the words. She plays the musical instruments so well, such as holding the little drum with one hand and beating it with the beater in the other. It's lovely to see her joining in and enjoying herself. Today's pic shows Eva waiting for her toast, where she was pulling her Rhythm Time name sticker off and sticking it back on a few times and patting it down. :-)

We went from there, to drop Jen and Eva off, then came home for some toast and a quick play with Eva's toys, and then back out to the doctors. Eva was prescribed some hydrocortisone steroid cream and a new moisturiser called Epaderm. To be fair, we were out of the doctors, then to the chemist to get the creams, where Eva was nearly asleep in my arms and home with a fresh nappy on, some cream rubbed in, some milk in her tummy and tucked up asleep in her cot, fast asleep by 12.20pm, not bad going at all. Literally by bedtime tonight, the patches of eczema were already looking miles better. Xxx
