Cartmel Cheeses

Today was our first full day in Grange-Over-Sands.
And seeing as we were in Cartmel College at Lancaster University, we should walk to Cartmel over the hills and visit our village!

After breakfast, we wandered over almost being squashed a few times! but having a brilliant chat as we walked.
We explored the village and had tea at the Cartmel Cafe, where I had a wonderful cream tea. We then wandered round till we found Cartmel Cheeses!

The cheese on offer was incredible! This lady, Ros, was helping us to decide on a cheese to choose for our nibbles that evening. (My memory is terrible, and I am hoping this lady was named Ros)

I've always wanted to try 'stranger photography' and what better subject than Ros and her favourite cheese! Thank you for your help!

After cheese, came STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING.
After all, Cartmel is famous for it!

Then a walk back over the hill to Grange-Over-Sands and a relax and wander before it was time for dinner. We drove to The Pheasant Inn. it was lovely, I did try Pheasant for the first time and did enjoy it!

Today was wonderful.
