Target

I love the muted straw-greys and browns of the wintery Irish landscape. Heading west again, I missed (again) the fork for Galway and had to make a left in Mullingar. Spotted this Spot (plus bullet-hole) on the road to Kilbeggan. Something about it made me pull over in the sputtering rain, grab my flash and head back on foot (the road was too narrow to park nearby). The black spot was, I guess, a narrow stone bridge about 100 yards farther on.

Later I came to a diversion because of flooding, where they had to set up Emergency Lighting.
