Enjoying.........

...........the day.

This gull, along with friends was having a wonderful time splashing in the shallow water of the Maitai River, Nelson, NZ

I’ve also had an enjoyable day. The weather has been perfect and I’ve had my third blip meet. This time, I met MummaHen and her husband as they pass through Nelson, returning to their home further South.

Following lunch at the Suter Cafe, we spent time walking through the Queen’s Garden and the adjoining Chinese Garden, then along the banks of the Maitai River where we said ‘farewell’ until next time.

It was during the return walk that my husband and I spent time watching the gulls splash and preen. Each water drop is highlighted by the late afternoon light.

We called to see my mother, stayed for an impromptu meal and now we are at home and I am uploading a late blip.
