Happy Birthday

L's birthday do. Check out the 6 layers in this amazing cake made by one of her friends. It tasted great as well. L blew put all the candles in one go - nice work. The evening also incorporated some rock n roll, Charleston and Cha Cha Cha dancing. Well, a lesson anyway. To call my efforts dancing might be a bit of an exaggeration. It was a lively and original evening, lots of fun to be part of and with the bonus of cake and catching up with friends we hadn't seen since New Year.

Only a week til the marathon now. We ran 8 miles this morning, which felt easy (!). The pollution has eased and I hope it doesn't worsen again. Only a couple of really short runs in the coming week to keep the legs ticking over. Otherwise, it's all about rest (although I don't think there'll be much in the way of rest at work).
