Reclaimed....

Morning meeting in Paisley, which turned into an all day meeting in Paisley....so didn't quite get to the planned 1/2 day shopping trip in Glasgow. Will reschedule time off for next week! Important & useful to be at both meetings though.

Then back to Glasgow for some Glasgow International fun. Kicking off at The Whisky Bond which is so cool - we spoke to Icelandic artists, drank in a bar made of reclaimed materials and were joined by an ex-colleague who now works in the building. It's fab - a great creative hub. Although my taxi driver took me to an industrial estate and the Diageo offices before getting the right place.

Then to the Briggait for the opening of Reclaimed - an exhibition of mad works which are usually held in storage. Loved this, and the Briggait itself which is stunning. In the background of this blip, on the left, you might be able to spot someone operating George Wyllie's Machine for Applauding Paintings.

We intended to visit a few galleries but got sidetracked in the Briggait. We did pop into Transmission Gallery, a fairly disorientating, dark exhibition after the brightness of the Briggait. Finished up with a stop off for some wine & snacks before getting a VERY busy last train to Edinburgh.

I spend a lot of time at places all over Scotland, but rarely do much in Glasgow. Glasgow International is a great excuse for me to do more!
