Sporty Saturday
Definitely a sporty day today. We travelled to Helensburgh to watch our local amateur football team , Lochfyneside before heading on to see the Sons at Dumbarton.
As luck would have it we were too early so I was able to see part of a hockey game being played on another field at the Hermitage Sec school. Quite a fast game and with a very wide age range in both teams. As you can see it was a very wet day, the players were soaked , hair plastered to their heads and the ball was bouncing around on a soaking wet playing surface. Not knowing the players it was difficult to anticipate where the ball would go. This was the best I got of that game.
WE headed up to the football game but this started very late as the game before theirs was still on , having been held up because of a bad head injury. Some very good football and a cracking goal from a really good young player, beautifully set up and really well taken..... and would you believe it this was a game between two girls teams , Dumbarton and Motherwell under 15s. Well done girls.
Unfortunately we didn't get to se much of the Lochfynside v Ardencaple game as it started so late we had to leave after 15 minutes tp drive from Hlensburgh to Dumbarton for the Sons v Alloa game. What a cracker that turned out to be , 4 - 0 to Sons at the 87th minute then Alloa scored at the last gasp. Still 4-1 and 3 points very well won will do us thank you very much.
ps. I di get some football shots but thought a wee break fro my fellow blippers was due , hence the hockey shot.
